Warm, Pink, Moist, and Lovely

Michelle recently asked me,

When Docs stick the thingamabob up your nose, what exactly do they see?

Here's my response:

. . . an endoscopic guided tour through the nose and throat. Enjoy!

You are the coolest doctor I have ever seen! And so I have a question for you. I have a cold and my mother insists that I can cure it by pouring peroxide in my ears, which I think is utter rubbish. I need a professional opinion. I should also add that my mother loves ear candling, God help her. I do not, as I am not fond of sticking things in my ears or of having burning anything sticking off my head.

You're right, she's wrong. Peroxide is rubbish. Candling is rubbish. Your instincts are quite sound.
